Hockey Canada is launching The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture, a new national education program that will replace Respect in Sport for both parents/guardians and team staff across District 4 and the LCMHL.

Parents / Guardians

• All new families must complete The Shift Forward – Parents/Guardians course for 2026–27.
• Only one parent/guardian per player is required.
• Families with existing Respect in Sport certification may use it during the transition but must complete The Shift Forward by 2028–29.

Coaches / Bench Staff

• All new coaches and team officials must complete The Shift Forward – Team Official course for 2026–27.
• Applies to all rostered staff: coaches, assistants, trainers, and managers.
• All bench staff must complete the program by 2028–29, even if they previously completed Respect in Sport.
